36 inches high by 48 inches wide, acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. Sides are painted, and this painting is ready to hang.

Painted from memory and photos taken from a river cruise in Germany's Rhineland region. The sloping hills, low clouds and open river before me gave a sense of an awaiting quest, a trek similar to the hero's journey with a promising outcome. I wanted to bottle that feeling and also touch on the distinct German landscape. I included the vertical Roman vineyards that are so prevalent along the Rhine and its tributaries. Look closely for the details.

36×36 inches, original acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas 1.5 inches deep. Ready to hang on the wall or custom frame.

A live bouquet of hydrangea, stock, and eucalyptus inspired this painting. The arrangement was so large and regal that I wanted to tap into that same feeling for a larger-than-life 36x36 canvas. I wanted this painting to demand space and attention.

As I began developing the work over a few studio sessions, I read about hydrangea lore and learned that hydrangeas were once thought to break hexes. As a boundary shrub, they were thought to protect from curses. "The Undoing" alludes to this lore.
